Debt Snowball

Financeweight 1tracker · keeps what you put in

Debt weighs more when it's vague — a fog of balances you'd rather not add up. The Debt Snowball puts each one in daylight: the debt, the amount owed, the interest rate, and how much you've paid off so far, that last field being the one that keeps you going.

This is not a screenshot. It's the real tool, running right here — go on, put something in it.

Questions people ask

How does the debt snowball method work?
You list every debt with its balance and rate, then attack the smallest first while paying minimums on the rest; each one cleared rolls its payment into the next. The tracker holds the list — and the "paid off so far" field holds the momentum.
Is my debt information private in this tool?
Completely. The tracker is one HTML file running offline in your browser — no account, no lender integrations, nothing leaves the page. Your debts are visible to you and no one else, in a file you own.
Should I pay off smallest debts first or highest interest first?
Smallest-first is the snowball — it wins on morale; highest-rate-first is the avalanche — it wins on arithmetic. The tracker records both balance and rate, so it will keep faithful score whichever school you join.
